About Lino
A life shaped by courage, curiosity, connection, and love.
Lino Martinez, Psy.D., is an author, poet, podcast host, and psychology professor whose work is rooted in lived healing. After navigating profound loss, a rare genetic disease, and more than 50 surgeries, he came to understand that pain and suffering are not the same. He also learned that transformation begins when we stop fighting who we are and learn to love every part of ourselves.
Raised Catholic, Lino later became a devoted Buddhist practitioner while facing serious illness. Buddhist principles deepened his understanding of compassion, non-judgment, forgiveness, and releasing attachment.
That path opened a wider exploration of psychology, spirituality, ideas in quantum physics, universal principles related to energy, frequency and vibration, as well as the chakra system. Together, these teachings showed him that self-love connects it all. Living authentically, raising your frequency, experiencing more joy, and following the path that feels true for you create the alignment we are all seeking. Alongside ongoing medical care, this path helped Lino move beyond surviving illness and into a life of greater health, vitality, and wholeness.
Today, after dedicating his life to healing, Lino helps others recognize the healing energy already within them. His intuitive work is a natural extension of his journey and his belief that intuition can deepen self-trust and inspire transformation. He invites people to connect with what is already alive within them and remember that they are stronger than they know.
Through more than 300 conversations on his podcast, A Little Less Fear, Lino has interviewed guests about healing, spirituality, authenticity, resilience, and the many ways we return to love.
